LUXI, The 1972 Tesla powered Toyota Hilux project

This is the well known and loved 1972 Tesla powered Toyota Hilux, Luxi. Luxi has been the daily shop truck for J5 for 4 years now. This truck was bought at auction in 2007 and has been sitting a while. Its had many engines in it. From an SBC, to 2UZ, to several turbo charged 22re builds. In its final form its running with a Tesla SDU motor driving a custom made De-Dion axle that acts as a straight axle. Its a unique and easy solution to utilize an independent suspension designed motor for a truck setup. It runs a Tesla model S Gen 2 charger, as well as Tesla model S Gen 2 DCDC.
